I love both my parents, equally but in different ways. I love them because I think they're amazing people. I love them because I think they have been and are incredible parents. I'm grateful that they are my parents. I love them because they're interesting and utterly individual people.

I love my mother for her strength, love and laughter. I love my father for his vagueness, love and thoughts. I love them for the characteristics they've passed on to me. I love them for always being there for me. They have given me so much, and I hope I have returned it to them in some way.
