What do you love about community diaries and Band of Brothers in particular? What do you get out of it, what role does it play in your life? And, only if you like, what do you hope to get out of and to give to BoB this time around?

the neatest thing i've gotten out of these community diaries (bob being my first) is all of the new people i've met and all of the new diaries i've started reading. before this community thing, my favorites were always sort of a mish-mash of people and places. bob is a way of binding people and giving them common ground, common diaries to visit, and common things to discuss. i like the unity it provides.

also, i am like sif, and i've always loved the "secret club" aspect. i'm not all about being exclusive and elite, but i think it's a neat way to organize a small group of people and share something among us.

i'm hoping that i can feel welcome and make other people feel welcome as well. it's hard to start out and feel as though not everybody wants you there. it's totally intimidating. and i hope other people feel totally comfortable and happy here.

'til next time, laura

"But we in it shall be remember'd; we few, we happy few, we band of brothers ; for he today that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile, this day shall gentle his condition: and gentlemen in England now a-bed shall think themselves accused they were not here, and hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks that fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day."

- William Shakespeare
