Hey kids.

I wanted to let you know something. Actually, I think I talked about it in my journal a long time ago.
Attitude checks/adjustments. Attitude checks were instituted in my life by my friend Julie. The basic idea of an attitude check is this: If Claire [for instance] is mad/sad/frustrated, I would say to her, "My favorite thing about Claire is blahblahblah." Or, "I love Claire because she blahblahblah." And it may sound silly, but I tell you what: it works, people.

Also, in my old job whenever we were at a conference and were really tired/irritated, one person [usually me] would yell, "ATTITUDE CHECK!" And everyone else would yell, "We love this stuff!" And my old skool brought an addition to the conference: And we do it by choice. AMEN.

Anyway. Attitude adjustments are fun and are even more fun when y'get creative with 'em. I'll be around in gbooks/notes as need be with some attitude checks.
