when i am sad i like mellow music. or angry music. it depends on the nature of the sadness.

sometimes it's a heavy feeling, a feeling of unbearable pressure. usually that's one of those unexplainable things for me. i have no idea why all of a sudden i feel like nothing is even worth the effort and just breathing is so incredibly hard. when it's that kind of brown i listen to mellow music. like i said in my diary, colorblind by the counting crows has been on repeat. i just downloaded kaya [the entire cd] by bob marley and that seems to be working too.

other times it's a slightly pissed off sadness. then i like to yell along with the music. a song like radio by alkaline trio is a personal fave.

when it's just a mild touch of brown i like to listen to upbeat music. or funny music. ben kweller and my live violent femmes cd are particularily good at getting me out of the dip.

other music: bright eyes, saves the day, starsailor, dashboard, finch, ani and liz phair.

this is a pretty small sampling. i don't know. thanks for playing.

'til next time, sunny

"But we in it shall be remember'd; we few, we happy few, we band of brothers ; for he today that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile, this day shall gentle his condition: and gentlemen in England now a-bed shall think themselves accused they were not here, and hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks that fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day."

- William Shakespeare
